Kayaks ready to go at Waikawa in last years Quadrathon
WAIKAWA BAY to WHITES BAY.
Cash prize for top Male and Female
Loads of spot prizes including a new Flow Kayak paddle valued at $599.
This years race see’s a course change in the kayak, cycle and run legs. Starting again on the Waikawa Bay foreshore, swimmers will again do a loop course heading south before returning to the jetty area. Kayakers from here will paddle directly north and go into Whatamango Bay before rounding a buoy and returning back to Waikawa Bay foreshore.
Cyclists will head into Picton, then leave over the elevation heading south, and go all the way to Monkey Bay carpark at Rarangi. Runners will then run over to Whites Bay, then head on an out and back loop of the scenic Black Jack track.
The finish line will be next to the beach at Whites bay, where the Rarangi Surf life saving club
will again be running a barbeque and have refreshments available
This years event has some awesome prizes up for grabs including wine from Forrest Estate, Cycling apparel and acccessories from Ray and the team at Cycle World, cash prize for fastest individual open man and woman, and a new Flow Paddle from Flow Kayaks in Nelson. Flow is owned by Andrew Martin and Richard Ussher who are designing the latest in kayaks and paddles.
A Total prize pool of almost $ 2000
